The horizon is the profile of the earth. These lines reminded me of a music bar, so I developed software that translates this profile into a soundscape, allowing us to listen to the horizon.
This way, the horizon turns into a composer:
For Art festival Watou 2024, I filmed the horizon around the small village of Watou and turned it into an accompanying soundscape. The video installation explores how different conditions of the horizon shape the sounds, through the seasons and under different weather conditions, and invites visitors to re-evaluate their relationship with the horizon. The festival runs from July 5th until September 1st, 2024.
